Haut Bergey Rouge
Item No. FR1-1076A11B
Wine Advocate 88: "The Garcin family has invested heavily in both money and time to resurrect a number of their estates, including Haut-Bergey (as well as Branon, Clos l’Eglise and Barde-Haut). The 2011 Haut-Bergey exhibits notes of charcoal embers, tobacco leaf, black currants, cherries, spice and earth. Made from a high dosage of Merlot combined with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, it should age nicely for 10-15 years."
Wine Spectator 90: "This bounces along pleasantly, with a briary hint along the edges and vivid damson plum, anise and blackberry notes at the core. A floral accent kicks in on the finish for added lift. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2020. 10,000 cases made."
