Item No. FR3-1320DNVM
Delamotte Brut is a blend of approximately 55% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir et 10% pinot meunier, which combine to give a wine of subtle power, appealing freshness, soft curves and a precise, fresh fruit finish : this is a dry and extremely attractive champagne, balanced and elegant. Each grape plays a part, as Chardonnay sets the wine in place, its foundation and roots. Pinot Noir helps give the wine more breadth and depth. A small portion of Pinot Meunier brings its aromatic charm to produce a pure and intense Brut.
Aged on the lees for 30 to 36 months, Delamotte brut receives a light dosage of 7g/l, similar to that of the Delamotte range.
Appearance: Pale gold in colour
Aroma: Has great purity on the nose, laced with citrus, white blossom, lemon zest and mossy notes.
Palate: Creamy freshness is further emphasised by the textural delicacy of its mousse.
Wine Advocate 90:The Delamotte NV Brut is a bright, fresh and aromatic blend of approximately 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier that spends 30 to 36 months on the lees prior to disgorgement. The current release is based on the 2014 harvest and was disgorged in 2017. It starts with fresh, bright fruit aromas intermixed with lovely brioche and nougat aromas and a delicate Kirsch tone. Mouthfilling, fine and fresh on the palate, this is a charming but serious Champagne from one of the region's oldest houses. Tasted from lot L63DN28917, November 2018.
