Champagne Thienot is a contemporary Champagne House led by the Thiénot family. Over the past 25 years, owner Alain Thienot has remained faithful to the key values which have built this producer’s world renowned reputation – quality, modernity and luxury. His motto reads; “A single passion: wine. A single obsession: quality”, and this attention to detail is key in producing some of the region’s finest vintages, notably Thienot’s iconic ‘La Vigne aux Gamins’. From their bases in Ay and Avize, Thienot continually creates wines that win international praise and acclaim.
For the past 25 years, in the Champagne region, Alain Thienot has been laying the foundations for a new ‘house’, forever faithful to the key values — quality, modernity and luxury. This daring creation, in a domain whose greatest names first appeared in the 18th century, is an example of the determined entrepeneur’s personality, a combination of his value of terroir
The "Cuvée Stanislas" Blanc de Blancs is named after the propietor’s father and made entirely from Chardonnay from the Cotes de Blancs, all of them grand cru except for a little bit of premier cru from Vertus. This high toned, smoky Champagne has great focus and precision and superior, long, mineral finish. A really serious Champagne from Thiénot, and like all of the Thienot vintage wines, this bottling is entirely estate grown from the family's nearly seventy acres of vines.
Appearance: Luminous golden yellow
Aroma: Dried tobacco and ripe fruit notes
Palate: the fresh Chardonnay character shines through delicious flavours of honey and dried apricot.
Wine Spectator 92: "Firm and focused, with a creamy mousse supporting a subtle weave of lemon meringue pie, poached white peach, toasted almond and honey, showing a pronounced vein of smoky minerality that echoes on the finish. Drink now through 2025."
