Made by Chateau Latour's wine maker, Flying Horse is an unique hand-crafted Napa Valley cult wine. Denis Malbec was the winemaker for 6 vintages at Chateau Latour, including the near perfect 1996 vintage that Robert Parker rated 99 points. Only 550 cases are produced -- the same scarcity as Sreaming Eagle. Wine-maker's notes: "Aromas of black currant, anise, black cherry, dried cranberry and tar. The mid-palate is infused with subtle floral aromas of lavender, dried plum, and crushed violets, creme de cassis, crushed pepper, tobacco, leather and blackberry jam. The finish shows notes of earth, mocha, and cigar box and with a long finish!"
