The Soul of the Highlands XO 12 Year Brandy is something special and distinctive. Starting with grapes grown at 1480m, we carefully use traditional methods to craft this brandy on estate. We use a proprietary low-temperature, low-pressure distillation method to preserve flavors and aromas. The brandy is then aged for 12 years in French and American barrels then meticulously blended by hand to express the essence of the Yunnan highlands.

This brandy will greet you with a bouquet of vanilla, dried apricot, just the right touch of smoke and oak. On the palate find vibrance and brightness with spiced honey and orange zest intertwined. Just a few drops of water will open up the aromas and flavors with notes of caramel and a hint of dried mango. A balanced and delightful aftertaste lingers, leaving you wanting more. Wonderful for relaxed sipping and great for mixing.

Noticed the gold speckled dusting on the box? These are the brilliant stars over our vineyard during the harvest every July. Because of our high altitude low latitude location, Yunnan Red is one of the earliest harvesting wineries in the world. You can find the North Star, Scorpius, Ursa Major, Hercules, Libra and many other constellations! The spirits flying over the winery design on the label are in the rich and elegant Yunnan "heavy color" (重彩画) art style.
